This is a white oak rocker I made from a huge log destined for firewood.

The back legs have been steamed and bent into a double bend for comfort.
It has been fumed with ammonia to give it the dark color like the old arts and crafts furniture.
It has a hickory bark bottom. Sorry the picture is not too good. Price $1500.00

My name is Matthew comer. I guess you would consider me a country woodworker.

I work mostly with green wood, although I have been known to do more conventional style woodcraft also.

I have never claimed to be an artist just a woodworker. Just about all of the things I make are meant to be used ,with the intention they will grow more beautiful over time. I am going to start by posting a picture of my shop from the outside and also a shot of the inside with a walnut rocker in construction. (That is if I can figure out how to post them)
